REP OFFERS DISCOUNTED SEASON SUBSCRIPTIONS Savings for Teachers, Students, Seniors & Those Under 30 BERKELEY CA, MAY 19, 2005 Last week, Berkeley Repertory Theatre announced its spectacular 2005/06 Season, featuring renowned artists such as Tony Kushner, Rita Moreno and Maurice Sendak. Today it announced significantly discounted subscription packages with season tickets for certain groups: Full-time students and anyone under 30 years of age can subscribe for half-price. This discount, which applies only for the full seven-play season, is available during previews, for Thursday or Saturday matinees or for Tuesday, Wednesday or Sunday evenings. Subscriptions start as low as $73.50only $10.50 per show and a savings of 65% off the single-ticket price! Teachers and school employees can purchase subscriptions at only $25 per ticket! For this group, a subscription to the full seven-play season is only $175a savings of up to 48%. This discount is available to all employees of K12 schools (teachers, janitors, administrators, etc.) and may be used for the Saturday matinee or Sunday evening series. Senior citizens save up to $70 by subscribing to any matinee series. Thats as much as $10 off per show! This offer is for people aged 65 or older and may be used for the full seven-play season or for the five-play main season. Matinees are generally held on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, and senior subscriptions start at only $175. Budget-conscious or adventurous patrons can buy discounted preview subscriptions. Preview prices have been lowered 35% from last year! See the show before the critics have their say and create your own buzz. This offer is available to people of all ages and all professions and may be used for the seven-play full season ($147), five-play main season ($105) or three-play limited season ($72). The night/OUT series brings top-notch theatre and fabulous parties to the LGBT community. This party for the lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender community is held three times each season: enjoy hors doeuvres, drinks and music mixed by cutting-edge DJs following performances of Brundibár, Nine Parts of Desire and The Glass Menagerie.
