Citizen Josh

Citizen Josh

Citizen Josh

Written and performed by Josh Kornbluth
Presented by Jonathan Reinis Productions in association with Berkeley Repertory Theatre
Special Presentation · Thrust Stage
August 16–September 2, 2007

Everyone’s favorite Red Diaper Baby grows up.

Inspiration for Citizen Josh began with the election in 2004, when Josh Kornbluth came to the conclusion that perhaps, just perhaps, voting was not quite enough. Citizen Josh weaves a web of smart, funny and moving autobiographical tales into a personal quest to engage the fundamentals of democracy.

“A charming, funny, delightful, and pointed monologue on the political education of Josh Kornbluth…Could well be the best work Kornbluth has ever done…Just about everyone in the audience wishes they could invite him over for dinner.”—Contra Costa Times

“Beautifully staged…It’s smart. It’s very funny. It’s another highly entertaining evening with Kornbluth.”—San Francisco Chronicle
