A Travel Experience Like No Other—The World
There are only a few ways one can experience The World, the largest privately-owned residential yacht on earth—as an owner of one of its private residences, as an invited Guest, or by being the winning bidder of this exceptional lot. This is your chance to reserve your spot for the holiday of a lifetime on a one-of-a-kind Ship.
Two couples, or a family of four, will enjoy 16 days aboard The World as it journeys from Lima, Peru to Santiago, Chile from November 21 to December 5, 2015. On this exclusive voyage you’ll be joining its Residents who share your taste for adventure and unrivaled personalized service and amenities. Your posh home on this 165-Residence “floating luxury city” is a spacious two-bedroom apartment, beautifully appointed and fully furnished, with an expansive balcony from which to relax and watch the world go by.
Imagine arriving in a new port of call, such as Pisco or Valparaiso, and setting out on a day of cultural exploration. Perhaps you’ll want to taste the flavors of these South American cities or Pisco’s familiar namesake national beverage or bring back delicacies from a local market (or from Fredy’s Deli on board) to cook dinner at home. Your voyage includes world-class dining at one of six restaurants on board, including the haute cuisine of Portraits or Asian delights at East. Have a special occasion or in the mood for a romantic evening? For a unique and truly personalized dining option, The World’s “Call-a-Chef™” program will send a chef to your Residence to prepare a delicious meal.
Whatever you choose to do, The World’s discreet personalized service surpasses that of a well-staffed estate. An extensive range of onboard activities are available like playing a few sets on the only full-size tennis court at sea; practicing your swing on the world’s greatest courses on a state-of-the-art golf simulator along with tips from the Ship’s pro; or joining a yoga class on deck. Those seeking more peaceful pursuits can choose from the library’s 4,000 books, indulge at The World Spa & Wellness Center, watch first-run movies or listen to lecturers in the theatre, or shoot some pool on a self-stabilizing, gyroscopic billiard table. An average of three days in port offers a leisurely pace to explore every stop. And don’t forget, The World Concierge is always available to ensure you experience the best each port of call has to offer.
Why not make this Thanksgiving a holiday to remember?
Value of this exclusive package is $45,000. Air transportation, transfers, and meals are not included.

An Idyllic Stay at a French Manor for Eight
Four couples, or two families, will enjoy a week’s stay in the heart of the Loire Valley. Your home will be the beautiful 16th century historical manor, Maison Dovalle, with a breathtaking view of the Thouet River.
Imagine waking up each morning and walking just a block away to a fabulous patisserie where you can purchase your flaky croissants, pain du chocolat and other pastries for your breakfast. Or you might choose to venture to the local weekly markets (there is one every day in one nearby town or another) and purchase local products for your lunch or dinner—which you can enjoy on the chateau’s beautiful terrace overlooking its exquisite gardens.
If you are a connoisseur of French wines, you will want to visit the wineries of the Loire Valley to imbibe in their sauvignon blancs, chenin blancs, semillons, and chinons, to name a few—at prices well below what you would find in California. Or, if spirits are more to your liking, pay a visit to the triple sec distillery in nearby Samur.
There is so much to explore during your stay, whether it’s venturing to spectacular chateaux and manicured gardens, or dining in Michelin-starred restaurants. What you will remember is a vacances magnifique!
A Culinary Exploration of Paris at Le Cordon Bleu
What better way to immerse oneself in the world of fine dining than by taking part in this special Le Cordon Bleu adventure in the City of Lights.
Founded in Paris in 1895, Le Cordon Bleu has acquired an international reputation built on excellence in culinary and hospitality education. In addition to culinary and management programs, Le Cordon Bleu has expanded its activities to include a range of short courses for those with a passion for the culinary arts.
As the winner of this package, you and your guest will have the option to choose one of two culinary experiences:
- Le Cordon Bleu Paris Market Tour
This is a 2-hour walking tour of a Parisian market followed by a 2.5-hour demo. Discover the secrets of selecting quality produce and making the most of fresh seasonal ingredients as a Le Cordon Bleu Chef guides you around one of Paris’ 80 markets. A light buffet lunch including produce from the market will be followed by the demonstration.
- Le Cordon Bleu Discovery Workshops in Cuisine & Pastry
This is a 6-hour themed workshop. Workshops take place in the practical classrooms, and give you as much exposure as possible to the working environment of a kitchen. This hands-on experience allows the more knowledgeable gourmet enthusiast the opportunity to innovate. All necessary ingredients and equipment are provided and you are free to take home your day’s work.
But your week-long trip to Paris won’t be just spent studying. You’ll be staying at the luxury hotel, Le Royal Monceau, located on the prestigious Avenue Hoche and just steps away from the majestic Arc de Triomphe and the Parc Monceau. It’s the perfect location from which to embark on all the magic that Paris offers.
Narsai David’s Private Dinner for Eight
Chef Narsai once again offers one of the most hotly sought-after items in Berkeley Rep’s annual gala. The Chef who has cooked for rock royalty and real royalty, and whose eponymous Kensington restaurant was once lauded by the New York Times as having one of the ten finest wine lists in the world, cordially invites you to join him and his wife Venus in their spectacular Berkeley home for an exceptional evening of food, wine, and conversation. Wine from three centuries, selected from Narsai’s extensive cellar, will be paired with the meal. Watch the master chef at work, and revel in a glorious repast. This is an opportunity not to be missed!
An American in Paris…in New York, for Four
Get a theatre insider’s view of the Big Apple with four VIP tickets to the musical that took Paris by storm this past December, and now premieres on Broadway: An American in Paris. The romantic story of a young American soldier, a beautiful French girl, and an indomitable European city, each yearning for a new beginning in the aftermath of war, is the stuff of Broadway dreams.
An American in Paris promises to be the kind of new Broadway musical you thought they didn’t make anymore—a musical filled with beauty, artistry, and the unmistakable beat of the human heart. Highly acclaimed choreographer Christopher Wheeldon directs a remarkable cast of singers, actors, and dancers as they bring the magic and romance of Paris and the timeless songs of George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin into perfect harmony.
Relive your experiences or enjoy a pre-theatre dinner at 54 Below, Broadway’s Supper Club, which offers an unforgettable New York nightlife experience, combining performances by Broadway’s best with world class dining in an elegant setting. Featuring up to three shows nightly and a late night lounge, 54 Below has become Broadway’s living room—a home away from home for Broadway professionals and audiences alike.
This package also includes two pairs of VIP house seats to your choice of Airline Highway or Our Mother’s Brief Affair at Manhattan Theatre Club, where you will also have access to the exclusive patron lounge. Finally, when you need to retire from the bright lights of the big city, a private condominium in midtown Manhattan will be your home for the week of your stay. Go on, take Manhattan—it’s waiting for you.
Escape to Punta Mita
The magical charm and ideal weather of Mexico’s west coast have long been magnets for those seeking the perfect vacation and a respite from colder climates.
Escape to the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, located in a 1,500-acre private peninsula on the northern tip of Baha de Banderas, one of the world’s largest natural bays. The shoreline is fringed by over nine miles of pristine white sand and rugged lava rock formations, and is located about an hour from Puerto Vallarta. This resort is rated #4 of the Top 35 Resorts in Mexico by Conde Nast Traveler and among the Top 500 in the World by Travel+Leisure Magazine.
Enjoy a 5-night stay in a garden-view Casita room including daily breakfast for two at this 5-star resort which offers more privacy and better service than any other hotel on Mexico’s Pacific Coast. Three pools, including an Infinity-edge pool, together with two magnificent private beaches are attended by Four Seasons signature pool service with chilled towels, face misting, bottled water, fresh juices, and fruit. The spa offers exercise classes and a mix of New Age and Mexican treatments. Besides a well-equipped gym, the resort provides a whirlpool, ten lighted tennis courts, snorkeling equipment, and kayaks. One of two Jack Nicklaus signature golf courses boasts the world’s only natural island hole.
Meet one of Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita chefs on the beach and discover the many different varieties of seafood that grace Punta Mita’s shores, just delivered by the local fishermen. Then join the chef for your choice of cooking class—a Bahia Catch of the Day, followed by a leisurely lunch, or the opportunity to learn the art of modern Mexican cuisine.
