Make giving easy
Monthly Giving is easier on your pocketbook, and it provides Berkeley Rep with a steady source of income throughout the year. Plus, you’ll enjoy great donor perks all season long!
How it works
- Commit to an automatic monthly credit card donation in the amount you choose. (Minimum donation $10/month)
- After your initial payment, your credit card will be automatically charged on the 15th of each month for the following 11 months.
- For tax purposes, you’ll receive an acknowledgment after your first and last payments.
Join our Monthly Giving Club today and your gift will ensure innovative theatre and arts education for your community year-round!
If you have any questions about making a monthly gift, contact Joanna Taber at 510 647–2906 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Double the impact of your gift!
Many Bay Area companies offer a matching gift program for their employees which can double, or even triple, your initial contribution. These programs are set up to allow employees to choose how their employer should direct its charitable giving within the community. Often, retired employees, directors, and spouses are also eligible to participate in the program.
Having your gift matched is simple. Visit your human resources office to retrieve a matching gift form. Complete it, and send it along with your gift to Berkeley Rep. We will notify your company of your contribution, and you can begin enjoying the benefits of a higher level of giving.

Charitable IRA distributions extended for 2013
If you are 70½ or older, you may be able to take advantage of the extension of the Charitable IRA Rollover to make a tax-free contribution to Berkeley Rep through December 31, 2013.
The Charitable IRA Rollover, which allows tax-free distributions from an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to a public charity, was extended through December 2013 by the American Tax Payer Relief ACT of 2012.
The IRA Charitable Rollover provision permits donors age 70½ and older to make tax-free charitable gifts directly from their IRAs to charities, up to an annual ceiling of $100,000 ($200,000 for eligible married couples).
We strongly recommend you consult with your tax advisor before making a charitable distribution from your IRA.
For more information, please contact Laura Fichtenberg at 510 647–2907 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Wish list for in-kind donations
Berkeley Rep accepts in-kind donations of products and used equipment that we can use on stage, in our offices, and in our guest artist and fellow apartments. The Theatre generally does not accept donations of clothes, costumes, or props because of space and storage limitations, and asks for you to include photos and dimensions of any furniture you would like to donate when making your offer for the same reason. We regret that we cannot accept all large-item donations.
Below is a short list of current needs. If you would like to help us out by donating any of these items, please call 510 647–2902 or email email@example.com. We are unable to pick up items but will gladly arrange a time for drop-offs.
