Berkeley Repertory Theatre gives back!

Berkeley Rep loves to donate tickets to Bay Area nonprofit organizations for use as a fundraising tool. Berkeley Rep tickets make a hot auction item—often garnering more than their face value in the heat of the auction moment!

Because we process over a thousand requests a year, please note that we are only able to approve your donation request if you meet every one of these specifications.

We process voucher requests on the first business day of every month.

For example, if you’d like to have us process your request in our June batch, we need to have your request letter in our hot little hands by the last business day in May. If your request is approved, you can expect to receive your ticket voucher (good for two Berkeley Rep tickets with some restrictions) by the 15th of the month in which it is processed.

What does this mean for you? If you have an event that occurs on February 8, we strongly recommend that you get your voucher to us in time for the January 1 mailing.

Unfortunately, if you miss your pertinent deadline, we are unable to process your request. No exceptions.

We only accept voucher requests that are mailed to us on your nonprofit’s formal letterhead.

We are unable to process voucher requests that have been faxed or emailed. Please send all voucher requests to:

You must include ALL of the following information in your request letter.

• The name of a contact person at your organization
• The name of your organization
• The date of your event
• An address to which we can send a voucher
• Your organization’s nonprofit tax ID number

Any request letters that do not contain the above information will be considered incomplete and will not be processed.

We are unable to respond to phone calls or emails requesting donations or following up on requests.

Because we process over a thousand voucher requests a year, we cannot respond to individual phone calls or emails.

Some restrictions apply to voucher requests.

We are only able to offer vouchers to Bay Area nonprofit organizations within the 939–959 zip codes. Vouchers must only be used for fundraising purposes. Only one voucher (good for two tickets) may be requested per fundraising event. Additional restrictions may apply.

Please note that restrictions apply to the vouchers themselves.

General restrictions are listed on the ticket voucher, but additional restrictions may apply. It is important that you include this information in your description of the item.

Both our theatres are wheelchair-accessible, and we offer free assisted-listening devices at all performances. We also offer audio descriptions of the performances for the visually-impaired and scripts for the hearing-impaired through our box office.
