Student matinee dates for our 2025/26 season are now available for booking. Educators interested in attending must submit an interest form to begin the reservation process.

Educators please note: Schools are limited to two student matinees per season. Schools with very large groups may be limited to one student matinee per season, depending on availability.
Additionally, all student groups attending a student matinee performance are required to attend a mandatory pre-show workshop either on-site at Berkeley Rep the day of the show, or in their classroom in advance of the performance. This 45–60 minute workshop is an opportunity for us to personally welcome your students to Berkeley Rep, share with them what to expect at a live theatre performance, and offer insights into the historical and social context/themes surrounding the show.
Your student matinee at a glance
Sample schedule. Actual times are show dependent and will be provided upon registration.
- 11:15–11:30am | School arrival to Berkeley Rep
- 11:30am–12:15pm | Pre-show workshop with Berkeley Rep teaching artist (required for all schools)
- 12:15–12:45pm | Lunch/down time (food can be brought by students, ordered by teachers and delivered to Berkeley Rep, or easily purchased in the surrounding Downtown)
- 12:45–1pm | School transition to theatre
- 1–2:30pm | Show
