Sam Linden
Director of Finance
Sam (he/him) comes to Berkeley Rep from Beth Morrison Projects (BMP), one of the nation’s premiere contemporary opera companies, where he served as the Executive Director from 2022 to 2025. At BMP, he led a strategic planning process and professionalized their budgeting, financial management, and financial reporting systems and policies to allow for more accurate and equitable decision-making. Prior to BMP, he was a Senior Consultant at TDC, working across the arts and culture sector; his client work included business planning, grantmaking strategies, financial turnarounds, and large-scale mergers. Sam holds a BA with honors in music from Harvard University, an MFA in Theater Management from the Yale School of Drama, and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. As a composer, lyricist, and librettist, he is an alum of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop. He lives with his husband Andrew and their rescue cats Latke and Babka.
