Explore the exciting art of bringing characters to life on stage! Students will learn the tools of the actor through monologue and scene work by analyzing scripts and performing for one another. This is an opportunity for students to gain valuable rehearsal and stage experience with feedback on their work, improve stage presence, vocal projection, physicality, and confidence as a performer.
Instructor: Zoe Chien is an actor, casting director, teaching artist, theatre producer, and arts administrator. She received her BFA in theatre from the NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where she trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, Playwrights Horizons Theater School, and the Stonestreet Studios for Television and Film. Zoe is the artistic lead for 3Girls Theatre Company, and the casting director and associate producer for PlayGround. She teaches theatre at The Nueva School. She is a PlayGround company member, and a graduate of the 2023/24 PlayGround Producing Fellowship.
