Explore the exciting art of bringing characters to life on stage! Students will learn the tools of the actor through monologue and scene work by analyzing scripts and performing for one another. This is an opportunity for students to gain valuable rehearsal and stage experience with feedback on their work, improve stage presence, vocal projection, physicality, and confidence as a performer!
Instructor: Pamela Rickard is an international theatre director, teacher, actress, and private acting coach. Over her 45-year career, she has directed more than 150 classical and contemporary plays, musicals, and original shows across France, England, and the US. Pamela received a conservatory degree from the Stella Adler Theatre Conservatory in NY, master's degree in theatre from SFSU, and BA in drama from UC Berkeley where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude. She holds a 2nd degree black belt in Aikido. She is delighted to return to Berkeley Repertory from NY where she has just performed Samuel Beckett’s Happy Days.
