Intermediate Improv is open to actors and non-actors alike and will delve into character, object, and space work. Students will thrive in a safe container enabling creativity and risk-taking in order to harness their imaginative potential. No matter what, we will play and laugh — a lot.
Instructor: Joel Ochoa is a proud Iowan native who moved to the Bay Area three and a half years ago. Since moving, he has acted in projects with many Bay Area companies including Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Presidio Theatre, SF Playhouse, Marin Shakespeare Company, 42nd Street Moon, SF Shakespeare Festival, Vanishing Angle Productions, Checkr, About Face, Pegasus Solar, Exo Inc., UCSF, and SF Fire Department. Along with his acting credits, he has taught with NCTC, Berkeley Rep, and Marin Shakespeare Company. He holds a BA in theatre from Millikin University and an MFA in acting from Academy of Art University.
