Explore how dance can deepen storytelling on stage. Using three iconic songs — “Omigod You Guys” from Legally Blonde, “My Shot” from Hamilton, and “Seize the Day” from Newsies — dancers learn foundational hip hop technique, character expression, and rhythm-based choreography. Each unit highlights how dance choices reveal emotion, build ensemble connection, and drive narrative. By the end, students will not only perform choreography from each piece but also understand how hip hop continues to shape and expand the world of musical theatre.
